I try not to hate, it’s a very negative emotion and will mess up your mojo.
- No; even MORE irritating are people who can’t spell or write. Communication tends to get hazy if you have no spelling or grammar skills. Hazy communication leads to misunderstanding, violence, war, poverty, and scheit politicians being elected to office.

I’m an English instructor at a university. I teach grammar, pronunciation, etc. to international undergraduate and graduate students. I have an MA in Applied Linguistics; yet I don’t feel the need to come on here and play grammar police.
Misspelling and making minor grammar errors on Yahoo Answers, where people have no need to proofread or revise, are not serious issues. As long as people can understand the questions, they shouldn’t correct. They’re just being pompous wiseasses.

it’s like, you dont need to! And no-one can understand it!
but i dont mind a few grammar mistakes or spelling mistakes, i dont bother using proper grammar on here (but i try to keep my spelling good)
sometimes the person might be dyslexic so its not their fault
and when i write a question i always put every word with a capital letter to make it more interesting

But, if you used proper spelling and grammar I can almost guarantee you wouldn’t be annoyed by it any more.
- Granted it’s annoying, but hate them? That’s a bit much isn’t it? I can think of a lot bigger things to get P.O.’d about.
- Some times there are so many errors; it is hard to understand the question. Then they post it again because they didn’t get any answers. UGH!!!

- Personally I think it is disgusting to comment on someone spelling, not everyone is good at spelling and even spell check is not infallible, many times I have used the spell check only to find after i have submitted it that there is still a word spelt wrong and then have had to edit it. I don’t care how people spell things, if I can read between the lines and understand what they are asking i will still answer, without comment on their spelling.
- I agree with Freakin. I got irritated once on here when someone pointed out a spelling mistake but I’ve never forgotten how to spell that word again, loll! I’m glad it was pointed out because I’m happy to learn.
